We can only process complaints for products purchased directly from farfalla. If you purchased the product through another retailer, please contact the retailer for further information.

If you choose to pay by card, the amount will be reserved according to your order. The debit will only be made when the delivery leaves our premises.
We only charge the actual invoice amount. So if an item was listed on the order confirmation but could not be delivered, it will not be charged.
The payment amount is reserved for a limited period of time, which varies depending on the provider.
If no booking is made within this period, the provider will refund the amount to you (no credit from farfalla is necessary). This can happen during times when we have a high volume of orders. In this case, you will receive an email from us with an invoice and payment slip for payment. -

Further training:
You can submit our seminars to the EMR as continuing education within the framework of your therapeutic/complementary medicine activities.
The EMR then decides whether the further training is recognized in your field of activity or not.Register the “Aromatherapy” method:
With the part-time diploma course in aromatherapy (BDA), you have the opportunity to register in the EMR (Experiential Medicine Register) under the discipline of aromatherapy. Currently, in addition to the aromatherapy diploma acquired at Farfalla, registration as a naturopathic practitioner (method group 131 EMR) is required for registration in aromatherapy. This, in turn, requires completed training in a naturopathically recognized discipline (see EMR method list), which includes at least 1,200 hours of empirical medicine and 600 hours of conventional medicine.

Do you receive continuing education points from the Swiss drugstore mail order company at the farfalla Academy?
The advanced training program "Aroma Expert in Pharmacy and Drugstore" is accredited by the SDV (Swiss Association of Pharmacists). Swiss pharmacists receive 25 SDV points for attending this course.
Starting in 2024, the training day "Aromatherapy – Selling Safely and Successfully" will also be accredited by the SDV. Swiss pharmacists will receive 4 SDV points for attending this course.

We are happy to credit your continuing education under certain conditions. Please send us a training certificate for verification, including details of the date, content, and duration. We may reject the training if it was completed too long ago or if the content is not comparable.
We will take into account Farfalla seminars that you have already attended, provided they were not more than 3 years ago (except wraps and compresses).

We would be happy to give you some suggestions for accommodation in and around Uster, but you are responsible for booking your own accommodation.

We recommend taking out cancellation insurance. This will protect you from additional costs and unpleasant surprises. You can purchase this insurance through external providers. Have you already registered for a seminar or are you interested in participating in an online live webinar? Some of our seminars are held as purely online live webinars. Some seminars offer the option of joining as a listener if you are unable to attend in person. Below you will find current information on how the seminar will work for our participants from home.
Switzerland:
Selected seminars are held as live online webinars . Instead of traveling to Uster, you can conveniently connect to the seminar room via computer at the scheduled time (usually 9:00/9:30 a.m.).

One week before the seminar: You will receive an email with important information for participation (downloading the script, worksheets, and a link to join the online live webinar). Please also check your spam folder and other email addresses.A few days before the event: For certain events, you will receive items (e.g., scented sticks) shortly before the event. These will be mailed to your billing address.
Participation requires the free Microsoft Teams program . Apple devices require the app to be downloaded; Windows devices can also participate via the link. Unfortunately, we cannot offer support for Microsoft Teams; please check your connection well in advance of the seminar.
Schedule on the seminar day:
Please log in using the link you received 5-10 minutes before the start time. The lunch break typically lasts one hour. The exact time will be announced by the speaker on the day of the seminar. Sufficient breaks will be planned.recording

Starting in 2022, the farfalla Academy will offer an introduction to the courses and the theoretical foundations of botany and chemistry as integrated courses (blended learning). In-person courses will be supplemented by modern forms of e-learning using a digital learning platform. This will increase the proportion of guided self-study phases in the courses.
Participants can work through individual sequences flexibly and independently within a specific time frame – with a short learning assessment and the opportunity to contact the lecturers.
This allows the courses to be attended with greater flexibility in terms of time and, at the same time, individual differences in learning speed and existing basic knowledge can be better supported.
The individual elements of the guided self-learning phases and face-to-face events are didactically coordinated so that participants experience significant added value through clear structuring and task assignments in their self-learning phases. -
Registration
Please register in writing using the registration form. Registration obligates you to pay the course fee. Please note that the number of participants is limited. Registrations will therefore be considered on a first-come, first-served basis. Upon receipt of your registration, you will receive a registration confirmation, detailed information, and an invoice.

Seminar fees are due no later than 30 days after receipt of the invoice, or in the case of short-notice registrations, no later than 30 days before the start of the seminar (except for the thesis fees, which are payable within 10 days). Failure to pay the course fee does not constitute cancellation. You can pay for each module of the certificate seminars individually.
Course organization
If a course leader (speaker) is unable to attend, farfalla will attempt to find a substitute or offer a new seminar date. If we have to cancel a seminar (due to insufficient registrations or the speaker's illness), the seminar fee already paid will be fully refunded. No further claims will be accepted.
Changes/rebookings
Changes and rebookings must be made in writing. Up to 30 days before the start of the seminar, we charge a processing fee of CHF 50 / EUR 50 per order for rebookings (date changes). From 29 days before the start of the seminar, the cancellation conditions below apply to rebookings. Except for exams (ZLA/BLA/BDA courses); see the next section "Cancellation Conditions / Cancellation Fees" for conditions.
Cancellation conditions / cancellation fees
Cancellations must be made in writing. If you cancel a booked service (one-day or multi-day seminar) in whole or in part, regardless of the time, we will charge a processing fee of CHF 50 / EUR 50 per order.
In addition to this processing fee, we charge the following cancellation fees per order based on the total seminar costs:- up to 30 days before the start of the seminar CHF50.-/EUR50.- processing fee
- 29 – 15 days before the start of the seminar 30% cancellation fee
- 14 – 2 days before the start of the seminar 50% cancellation fee
- within 48 hours before the start of the seminar 100% cancellation fee
Cancellation and processing fees will be waived if you provide a replacement participant.
The following cancellation costs / withdrawal conditions / rebooking fees apply to examinations (ZLA/BLA/BDA courses):
- up to 60 days before the start of the exam CHF50.-/EUR50.- processing fee
- 59-0 days before the start of the exam 100% cancellation fee
In case of withdrawal/abandonment of the thesis, the fees will not be refunded.
Liability
Insurance coverage is not included in any course costs; you are therefore responsible for ensuring you have adequate insurance coverage (illness, accident, liability, cancellation cover, as well as theft and loss of items at the seminar venue).
Workshops and lectures
For all workshops and lectures, please register directly at the appropriate farfalla branch or online. Payments can be made in advance or at the box office. Current lecture dates can be found on this website.
Program and price changes as well as changes to the general terms and conditions remain reserved.

Diverse ingredients as a protective shield
The chemical composition of essential oils is extremely complex. They consist of dozens to hundreds of components. One advantage of this variety of ingredients - in contrast to synthetic imitations consisting of a few artificial components - is that bacteria or viruses can hardly build up a resistance to them. This is particularly because their composition (and therefore their scent) can be slightly different with each harvest.Effective fragrances

Sleep. Some contain a whole medicine cabinet! We at Farfalla have been fascinated by this plant power concentrated in droplets for almost 30 years. The knowledge of how the effects of essential oils on the body and soul can be used to improve health and well-being has been incorporated into every single Farfalla product ever since. -
room fragrance
- Fragrance lamp: Fill the bowl with water, add a few drops of essential oil and light the tea light. There must always be enough water in the bowl. Do not pour cold water into the hot glass bowl (risk of breakage)! Never leave it burning unattended!
- Fragrance stones : add approx. 10-15 drops of undiluted essential oil to the stone (with saucer) and repeat if necessary.
- Organic aroma sprays : Mix 100ml organic alcohol with 30-50 drops of essential oil - done.
- Use electric air fresheners according to the instructions for use.
inhalation
Depending on the intensity of the essential oil, use 1-5 drops per inhalation. Use sparingly as it is intense.
cleaning
Mix 2-3 drops into the cleaning water of a neutral liquid soap, e.g. fresh scents such as Litsea Cubeba, Lemongrass and citrus scents.
Skin applications: Always apply essential oils diluted to the skin!
- Shower gel: Depending on the intensity, mix 30 - 40 drops in 200ml Basic Coconut Foam Base.
- Bath, foot bath: Depending on the intensity of the essential oil, add 4–10 drops per full bath

Unscented starting products for self-mixing with essential oils and active ingredients
Farfalla Do It Yourself base products are unscented starting products (perfume, shower gel, bubble bath, room spray, soap, body lotion, body cream, shampoo) that can be enriched with essential oils and other active ingredients (organic body oils, aloe vera gels, plant water, etc.) to create your own products. They offer beginners to DIY applications a straightforward basis for getting started with their own mixing and gaining initial experience. These products are also particularly popular as gifts in sets.

The products you need for mixing and filling can be found in our online shop and in our stores. We regularly hold workshops in our stores where you can work in small groups to mix your own personalized product.

Raw materials must be traceable in the final product
We are a provider of products for end consumers and not a raw material trader or supplier. The declaration of our products is governed by this. Specifically, this means that we declare our essential oils according to chemicals law and not according to cosmetics law for potential further processing for (re)sale of cosmetics.
The most important sensitizing substances are properly listed on our essential oils. No amounts of individual ingredients can be derived from this for further use in cosmetics.
For our own cosmetic products, an allergen declaration is clearly possible because we know the recipe in detail and can calculate the declaration.

Yes. Since natural perfumes contain only natural ingredients and the fragrances come from natural essential oils, they can be applied to the skin without any problems.

Real nature is never the same
Wherever nature is present, there are also completely natural color variations. After careful filtration, slight deposits or cloudiness may form due to the use of pure essential oils. A product as wonderfully diverse and unique as nature itself!
