General Terms and Conditions (GTC)

1. Scope of application

Farfalla Essentials AG (hereinafter referred to as "Farfalla") provides all deliveries and services for orders in the Farfalla online store exclusively on the basis of these GTC in the version valid at the time of the order. By placing an order, the customer accepts the GTC. The online ordering option is only available for the territory of Switzerland and Liechtenstein.

Individual written agreements between Farfalla and the customer deviating from these GTC remain reserved.

2. Products

Product information in the Farfalla online store is non-binding and no liability is assumed for the correctness, completeness or currency of the information. Information can be changed by Farfalla at any time. Likewise, quality standards, botanical names, indications of origin, samples and specimens of the products are non-binding and can be changed at any time.

3. Prices

All prices are in Swiss francs and exclusive of VAT. The prices apply to unpacked goods excluding shipping costs. Prices are subject to change at any time.

4. Orders

Orders are placed online on the internet order page of the Farfalla online store. The offers in the Farfalla online store are only an invitation to submit an offer.

The customer's order is binding for him. The customer is responsible for the online order and the order will be processed as it is received by Farfalla without further inquiry.

Farfalla is free to refuse the processing of an order at any time without giving reasons. In this case Farfalla will inform the customer. A purchase contract is only concluded when Farfalla sends the ordered products or confirms the dispatch to the customer.

Farfalla assumes no liability for transmission errors or incorrect entries on the PC by the customer. The customer has no right to withdraw from the order in the event of transmission errors or incorrect entries on the PC.

5. Availability

Farfalla does not guarantee the availability of the ordered products and reserves the right not to deliver ordered items, e.g. if they are not available or not available in full. Farfalla will inform you of any unavailable and therefore undelivered items. Articles that are not delivered will not be delivered by Farfalla after they become available and must be reordered by the customer if desired.

Farfalla reserves the right to deviate from the order in the event that a product is not available at short notice and another available product has equivalent properties to the ordered product.

6. Terms of delivery

The delivery time depends on the circumstances. Delivery dates and deadlines are non-binding reference times. The customer cannot derive any rights from non-compliance with them.

The customer is obliged to accept and pay for the goods.

Delivery shall be made by priority mailing or, in the case of palletized goods, by forwarding agent.

For orders up to an order value of CHF 60, shipping costs of CHF 9.00 will be charged. Orders over CHF 60 are shipped free of charge.

7. Terms of payment

The customer pays the amount owed by credit card (VISA, Eurocard, Mastercard, American Express) or Postfinance Card and enters the relevant credit card details on the PC when placing the order. As part of the online ordering process, the credit card details are transmitted in encrypted form. Farfalla records the customer's credit card details in the system and carries out an online authorization request with the respective credit card company. In the absence of authorization, Farfalla can reject the customer's order without further ado.

The purchases can be seen on the customer's credit card statement under the heading "Farfalla Essentials AG". Credit card numbers are not permanently stored in Farfalla's system.

Customers have the option of ordering against invoice. The invoice must be paid net within 10 days of the order date. Due invoices must be paid before the new delivery. If payment is not made on time, Farfalla may suspend the subsequent order. Costs for reminders and default interest will be charged to the customer.

8. Right of withdrawal and return of goods

Goods which the customer has received in response to his order can be returned to Farfalla by the customer within 14 days of receipt without giving reasons, provided that the goods are unused, in their original packaging and in perfect condition. The return of the goods is considered as a revocation of the order. The return of the goods is at the expense, liability, and risk of the customer, unless there is an incorrect delivery on the part of Farfalla. The right of withdrawal does not apply to goods that are manufactured according to the customer's special specifications, are perishable or whose expiration dates have been exceeded.

Any returns will be credited to the customer's account. The credit note will be credited to subsequent orders placed by the customer with Farfalla. If Farfalla has no outstanding invoices towards the customer, the credit note will be paid out to the customer upon request.

9. Retention of title

Until full payment of the price and all costs incurred, including interest on arrears, goods ordered by the customer remain the property of Farfalla. Farfalla is entitled to enter the retention of title in the retention of title register at the customer's place of residence.

If the customer is in arrears with the payment of the purchase price, Farfalla is entitled to withdraw from the contract without further ado and to take possession of the goods.

10. Exclusion of liability and warranty

Farfalla accepts no liability for errors in illustrations, prices, texts or due to late or non-delivery.

With the handing over of the goods to the carrier Farfalla has fulfilled all obligations resulting from the customer's order and benefit and risk regarding the goods are transferred to the customer. In particular, Farfalla shall not be liable in the event that the goods are not handed over directly to the customer by the carrier, but are deposited at the customer's doorstep, at a neighbor's or similar in the customer's absence.

The customer is obliged to check the goods immediately upon receipt and to notify Farfalla in writing of any defects within seven days of receipt of the goods. In the case of defects, the customer only has the right to demand a replacement delivery or a reduction of the purchase price, whereby the customer is not entitled to these rights in the case of minor defects. Apart from that, any warranty on the part of Farfalla is excluded to the extent permitted by law.

Furthermore, Farfalla does not assume any warranty in connection with its website, neither for its content nor for the fact that the website is available to the customer or third parties.

11. Security

Customer payments in the Farfalla online store are made in a protected area (Saferpay), in which the data is transmitted in encrypted form. Farfalla cannot accept any liability for the security of the transmitted data.

12. Copyrights and exclusion of liability for external links

All image material used by Farfalla is protected by copyright and may only be used by the customer with the consent of Farfalla.

Farfalla websites may contain links to third party websites. Websites of third parties may refer to Farfalla websites. Farfalla accepts no responsibility for such websites and their content, for the products, services or other offers they provide or for compliance with data protection regulations and distances itself from them. The activation of a link is at the user's own risk.

13. Applicable law and place of jurisdiction

The legal relationship between the customer and Farfalla is subject to Swiss substantive law, excluding the Vienna Sales Convention. The place of jurisdiction is Uster, Canton of Zurich, whereby Farfalla is also entitled to sue at the customer's domicile. Farfalla's place of business is the place of fulfillment.

14. Validity

These General Terms and Conditions come into force on the 1st of January 2026. They replace all GTC of Farfalla valid until this date for online purchases.

General Terms and Conditions (GTC)

1. Registration and Payment

Please register in writing using the registration form (training programmes) or purchase the seminar for the selected date via the Academy Shop. Registration constitutes a binding obligation to pay the course fee. The number of participants is limited; registrations are therefore considered in the order of receipt.

Day seminars are payable immediately upon registration. The seminar fees for training programmes must be paid no later than 30 days after receipt of the invoice or, in the case of short-notice registrations, no later than 30 days before the start of the seminar. Fees for the diploma thesis are payable within 10 days. Failure to pay the course fee does not constitute a cancellation.

2. Course Organisation and Cancellation

If a course instructor is unavailable, Farfalla will attempt to arrange a substitute or offer a new seminar date. If a seminar has to be cancelled by us (due to insufficient registrations or illness of the instructor), the full seminar fee already paid will be refunded. No further claims may be asserted.

Changes / Rebookings

Changes and rebookings must be made in writing.

Up to 30 days before the start of the seminar, a processing fee of CHF 50.– / EUR 50.– per booking will be charged for rebookings (date changes). From 29 days before the start of the seminar, the cancellation conditions listed below apply to rebookings. Excluded are examinations (training programmes); see the next section “Cancellation Conditions / Cancellation Fees”.

Cancellation Conditions / Cancellation Fees

Cancellations must be made in writing. If you cancel a booked service (one-day or multi-day seminar), in whole or in part, regardless of the time of cancellation, a processing fee of CHF 50.– / EUR 50.– per booking will be charged. In addition to this processing fee, the following cancellation fees will be charged per booking, based on the total seminar costs:

  • up to 30 days before the start of the seminar: CHF 50.– / EUR 50.– processing fee
  • 29–15 days before the start of the seminar: 30% cancellation fee
  • 14–2 days before the start of the seminar: 50% cancellation fee
  • within 48 hours before the start of the seminar: 100% cancellation fee

Cancellation fees and processing fees are waived if you provide a substitute participant.

Examinations (training programmes)

For examinations (training programmes), the following cancellation fees / withdrawal conditions / rebooking fees apply:

  • up to 60 days before the start of the examination: CHF 50.– / EUR 50.– processing fee
  • 59–0 days before the start of the examination: 100% cancellation fee

In the event of withdrawal from or termination of the diploma thesis, the fees will not be refunded.

3. Liability

No insurance coverage is included in any course fees. You are therefore responsible for ensuring adequate insurance coverage yourself (illness, accident, liability, cancellation insurance, as well as theft and loss of items at the seminar venue).

Programme and price changes as well as changes to the General Terms and Conditions remain reserved.

These GTC come into force on 1 January 2026. They replace all previous GTC of Farfalla applicable to the farfalla Academy up to that date.
