Perineal massage oil
Perineal massage oil
For birth preparation, perineal massage is an effective method to loosen the tissue in the perineal area and increase flexibility for childbirth.
Wash your hands thoroughly before the massage. Place your thumb on the outer sides of the perineum (between the vulva and anus) and massage downwards and sideways with gentle pressure. Now insert your thumb a few centimeters into the vagina and stretch the perineum in a U-shape, pulling it outwards and continuing to massage the tissue. The massage and stretching should be tolerable. From the 36th week of pregnancy, massage several times a week with increasing intensity for 5–10 minutes. As preparation, a hay flower steam bath or yoni steaming with jasmine, lavender, or neroli is recommended from the 36th week of pregnancy.
(Use chamomile if available, otherwise use only fine lavender)
